Another (religious) side of Bob Dylan

May 24, 2011

When it comes to analyzing the life and lyrics of Bob Dylan, who turns 70 (!) today, you can find a lot of religion angles. His Judaism, his Jesus experiment, his messianic aura, the many biblical references in his songs, etc., etc. But for now, here’s a little Dylan and God piece to chew on — an excerpt from Michael J. Gilmour’s new book The Gospel According to Bob Dylan: The Old, Old Story for Modern Times posted on Christianity Today’s site. As a former Lowell Sun staffer, I got a kick out of the location of the picture described in this excerpt.

I hadn’t heard of this book until today (thanks, Pastor Tom Goodman!). Might be worth checking out.
